I'm Mackenzie.

but you can just call me Kenzie :)

when i first started experimenting with photography, i was a sophomore in high school. i had just gotten my first dslr camera and loved walking around taking pictures of flowers, trees, dirt, literally anything that i thought looked cool. as soon as that got a little old, i started asking my friends if they would come with me so i could photograph them as well. i realized i loved portrait photography. from there i started taking senior photos and pursued a degree in graphic design/photography before committing to doing photography full time!

i started my solo professional career shooting weddings for a photography company based out of Bismarck, ND and got a job at a clothing and lifestyle boutique in Grand Forks, ND (shoutout to Kittsona!) doing website and social media photography. after getting engaged, moving cross country, and enrolling back in college to finally finish my degree, i'm freelancing!

i'm known for being a tireless hype-woman and for overusing the words 'perfect', 'awesome', and 'sooo cute' (you will hear all of those during our session.. many, many times..). the most important thing to me is your comfort and confidence while shooting. my style works around tailored-to-you posing with as many candids as possible mixed in. you can expect a variety of photos from me - some that your parents and grandparents will put on their refrigerators & some that your best friends will hype up on instagram; some casual and trendy & some timeless and traditional. the best of both worlds, in my opinion.
